Louise Trimble
Louise is a clinical psychologist with specialist skills in adult counselling and works with people experiencing a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Louise is the Director of Berwick Counselling & Psychology and has worked as a psychologist in private practice in the Berwick community since 2000.
Louise is dedicated to helping individuals develop skills to address their personal issues, cope with stress, and manage their relationships with others. Mental illness can be debilitating and impact the individual, their family, relationships, and employment, so early intervention can lead to a positive prognosis and outcome.
She works collaboratively with clients to establish their goals, increase their self awareness, their resilience, and ability to make positive changes to improve their lives. She loves to work with the individual to help better their life, their choices, and to give them the necessary resources for long term sustainable change. Louise has a Person-Centred approach and tailors her therapeutic intervention to suit the individual’s needs to create positive change in a practical, manageable, and achievable way. She utilises techniques from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Mindfulness; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Louise conducts personality and psychological assessments, and provides therapeutic interventions. She has published and presented her research findings at both international and national conferences, and holds an honorary lectureship at Monash University.
